World news – AU – as WA Border mitigates the spread of COVID-19 community records in South Australia

SA chief public health official Nicolas Spurier said this new community transmission case was a woman who was tested at Lille McQueen Hospital yesterday morning.

“In the last two minutes before coming to the press conference, I also received two positive results from family members in this case,”.

Two people who had close contact with the woman – a woman in her 50s and a man in her 60s – also tested positive..

All 90 employees who were in the hospital’s emergency department when the woman arrived on Friday will be quarantined and tested..

Under the new rules, the WA is open to all Australians without quarantine – given that they are not from a state or territory that has registered community transmission in at least 28 days..

People from states that have recorded transmission – such as New South Wales and Victoria – will need to be quarantined for two weeks upon entering Washington..

Health Minister Roger Cook said this week that the state government would not hesitate to « slap » tough borders in the event of an outbreak..
