New Year, new restaurants as Dubai’s hospitality industry continues to thrive. To keep your finger on the pulse of the city’s food scene, there are nine new must-see restaurants and bars in Dubai.

Cameras ready – one of Dubai’s most famous cafes has just opened a second venue. The new brunch & Cake by the Sea, the new iteration at The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah, offers a characteristic mix of dreamy interiors and breathtaking dishes.

Brunch & cakes by the sea, east wing, The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah, Sun to Wed 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thu to Sat 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.. 30 o’clock. @brunchandcakeuae

We were wondering where Chef Akmal Anuar (of 3 Fils) would show up next – and now we needn’t wonder with the news that he is running the kitchen at brand new Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori. Located in the Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road, Goldfish promises contemporary Japanese flavors in a casual atmosphere. Look forward to our full review …

A brand new Spanish restaurant has opened its doors in Tryp by Wyndham, Barsha Heights. Lola Taberna Española is a lively restaurant that serves authentic Spanish cuisine day after night, taking the space formerly taken by the Barbary Deli & Cocktail Club.

Lola Taberna Española, Tryp von Wyndham, Barsha Heights, Sun to Thu 5pm to 1am, Fri & Sat 1pm to 2am. Tel. : (0) 4 247 6688. @lolataberna

You know, if Sheikh Hamdan is one of the first guests through the door, the crowds will follow. Since the opening of the restaurant of the same name by Turkish TikTok sensation / chef Burak Ozdemir, which serves Turkish-Middle Eastern cuisine and bespoke breads, the CZN Burak has been filled to the brim. Look out for our full review.

CZN Burak, Boulevard Point, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, no reservations, daily from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m.. @cznburakdubai.

Snag fans will be no stranger to the gourmet offerings from Sausage Fabrique, who toss their sausages at pop-ups and markets across Dubai. They have now found a permanent home in JLT and opened a chic butcher deli with on-site restaurants to devour their legendary hot dogs. Don’t miss the Korean-inspired dog with bulgogi beef and caramelized onions or the spicy Italian with paprika, mozzarella and pesto mayo. While you’re there, grab some homemade meat, sausage, and imported cheese to take away.

The Fabrique Butchery & Deli, Cluster F, HDS Tower, JLT, Sat to Wed 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thu and Fri 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Tel. : (0) 58 584 4057. Visit: @sausagefabrique

Looking for a new restaurant with a great view? If you’re a fan of authentic Greek Mediterranean food, we’ve got you covered. Aiza has just opened at The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah and offers an airy Aegean aesthetic and a people-friendly menu of grilled seafood and souvlaki.

The Soho Beer Garden opens just before Christmas in Meydan next to the Soho Garden and combines a British-style pub with a relaxed outdoor beer garden. The menu features large screens for sports, a stage for live entertainment, craft beers and gastropub classics.

Catch up with friends in this new British-style pub that has an open-air beer garden on the roof of Sofitel Dubai Downtown. There is a rich selection of ribs, burgers, and snacks in the bar (including numerous vegan options), pool games, and live music.

Tipsy Lion, roof terrace, Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Sun to Thu 5 pm to 2 am, Fri and Sat 1 pm to 2 am. @tipsyliondubai

This huge new beach club and bar in JBR, slated to open soon, isn’t shy or withdrawn. With a whopping 18 bars under one roof, a giant slide that takes you from the first to the ground floor, and a stunning pool, this is a drinking destination that demands your attention.
