If Newcastle United are relegated this season, Mike Ashley will have a lot more to worry about than Steve Bruce’s severance package.
That’s because some players are expected to break up and not ready to play championship football with the Magpies.
Of course, should Newcastle go down there is a financial element involved, but the player side could be of more immediate concern.
Allan Saint-Maximin has been one of the shining ones this season Lights in St. James’ Park. However, The Mag suggests that he would be one of those who, in the worst case scenario, would want to move to a more ambitious club.
Former Aston Villa star Lee Hendrie believes his old club could do a lot worse than that talking when the player becomes available.
« He has this credibility in the Premier League. We saw what he can do. He has this attack rate, he has flair, you know, all sorts of things.
« It could be an important addition to a villa page that I believe was really missing in large areas.
» Trezeguet has touched before, I think he would certainly come to the page, he reminds me of certain elements of [Bertrand] Traore, but he may have a bit more pace and he is very direct.
