World news – Alabama’s Najee Harris is delighted with the stingy defense of the state of Ohio

The highlights can be fun. The big runs can be exhilarating. The blowouts can be fun.

But what really gets Alabama’s Najee Harris going is that the Crimson Tide will face the nation’s second best run defense on Monday night, knowing it will be difficult and that there will be adversity.

« For me [the excitement] is up 100 percent, » the rewinding star said of Zoom as Alabama prepared for the College Football Playoffs national championship game on Monday night in Miami Gardens, Florida to compete against the state of Ohio. « The best that it can. » happen or the best thing you can do to get me excited is to say, « See, this is going to be the best we play against, the best run defense, the best pass defense, the best talent. » p> “That’s one thing that I really love about football. I just know that on the other side of the ball there is good competition, great competition, people who are going to be on the next level, people who won all these awards, stuff like that. ”

Alabama may be a big favorite and likely to finish off a perfect season, but the title game will be tough for Harris. The Buckeyes only allow 89.1 rushing yards per game. They excluded Clemson’s returning star Travis Etienne in the Sugar Bowl semifinals, limited him to 32 rushing yards with 10 carry, and didn’t allow a single 100-yard rusher for the entire season. But that doesn’t scare Harris, who won the Doak Walker Award for Best Return in the Nation. If anything, that motivates him. He lives for this kind of challenge.

« I know it won’t be easy, » said Harris, who led the nation with a total of 27 touchdowns and rushed TDs (24) and the SEC leader in hurrying shipyards was (1,387). « There won’t be big runs like this. There won’t be … hurdles and things like that or any explosive games. It’s going to be your best against our best and then I have to make the best of it and I like that. » Despite his big season, Harris was somewhat overshadowed by Alabama’s electric passing game and the magical season of Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith. Harris was the center of attention in the CFP semifinals and ran 125 yards in 15 runs. That included an incredible hurdle that went viral where Harris jumped over a defender during a 53-yard run. He’s taken the hurdle a couple of times this year and it’s become part of his game. It goes back to his days in high school in Antioch, California.

« I’m sick of being chopped in the legs, man, in the ankles. It hurts, ”Harris said with a smile. “I think I just started hurdling.”

But don’t expect him to jump over the defenders Monday night and that’s good for Harris. This is the type of game he loves to play.
