The Hampshire Watercress is hosting a one-of-a-kind Christmas spectacle this month with the world’s first digital LED train.
During the steam clearing on the watercress, the class S15 steam locomotive 506 pulls the digital LED train, which was created with thousands of fully controllable LED light mixer lights.
The great light event shows 13. 174 fully controllable color mixing LED lights and LED armbands that illuminate both the exterior and interior of the train.
Visitors to the Steam Illuminations on the Watercress Line will marvel at the lights and then ride up and down the railroad’s 10-mile line. Trains depart from either Alresford or Alton and provide a round-trip trip back to the start station.
