The stars of Counting On welcomed their second child, daughter Evangeline Jo, on Sunday November. 22 at 11:26 p. m. , PEOPLE confirmed. She was born weighing 7 pounds. and measured 20 inches at the time of birth.

« We have good news! Our little girl, Evangeline Jo, arrived quickly and safely on Sunday night, » Jeremy, 33, told TLCme. « Jinger is recovering very well and is enjoying finally being able to hold her little angel. « 

« Evangeline means ‘good news’ and Jo is Joseph after Jeremy’s middle name, » added Jinger, 26. « As for Felicity, she’s in love with her little sister but has no idea how much sharing is in her future. We are so grateful to God for this beautiful gift! « 

In May, the couple, who are parents of 2-year-old daughter Felicity, announced exclusively to PEOPLE that they were expecting another bundle of joy.

« We’re so excited, » said Jinger. “Felicity will have a sister. Everything looks fine with the baby. We are so grateful. We’ve had a lot of check-ups and we’re just very, very excited. ”

Their second baby arrives a year after Jinger and Jeremy suffered a devastating miscarriage in the fall of 2019.

« The morning after we told the family we were expecting, Jinger woke up and woke me very early in the morning and said she thought she had lost the baby, » Jeremy recalled PEOPLE. “We found out later that day that she did. That was very difficult and definitely a test for us. ”

Jinger added, “In times when your faith is being tested, the more you run to God. We just prayed together, talked to family, and had friends in our church who were around us. It was such a difficult time but Jer really supported me and it was a great blessing to have many people who loved us on this difficulty. ”

After finding out that they were expecting again, the couple were overjoyed. « It’s so exciting to have this baby in the womb healthy and growing strong, » said Jeremy.

Just weeks before the arrival of her second little girl, Jinger expressed her excitement about her growing family.

« We couldn’t be more excited to be a family of four! God has been so kind to us. Almost there! « Jinger wrote alongside two cute pictures taken during a family photo shoot.
