Virat Kohli is an outfield player who is able to put down catches from time to time, but he is also an athlete who makes exceptional, inspiring efforts on the field.

A couple of tough chances weren’t implemented behind the stumps, but more worryingly, two simple catches were also knocked down: Jasprit Bumrah and Prithvi Shaw dropped catches they shouldn’t have at this level. On both occasions Kohli was not pleased that Marnus Labuschagne received this reparation.
But later in the day the Indian captain showed how to do it when he went full length diving to fire debutant Cameron Green from R Ashwin’s bowling.
