SACRAMENTO (CBS13 / AP) – Paul Westphal, a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and former coach of the Sacramento Kings, died on Saturday around the age of 70.

He died in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to a testimony from Southern California, where Westphal starred in college. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor last August.

Westphal played in the NBA from 1972-84 as a five-time All-Star Guard. At the college level, Westphal trained at Southwestern Baptist Bible College (now Arizona Christian University), the Grand Canyon, and the Pepperdine.
