Weltnachrichten – AU – Bluechip Infotech distributes WatchGuard’s firewall aaS

Bluechip InfoTech is the second WatchGuard Technologies distributor in Australia to launch a monthly firewall subscription service with no upfront payment.

It comes with a zero commitment option where the firewall appliance can be returned at any time.

This allows managed service providers, resellers and their customers with WatchGuard solutions to scale and choose a pricing model that best suits their business needs.

“A large part of our channel is the managed services business that takes care of resellers or smaller businesses that don’t have an IT department. WatchGuard’s PayG-as-you-go subscription service fits perfectly into the current subscription economy for customers who want monthly recurring billing with no major up-front costs and the flexibility to expand and downsize their service as business needs, ”he says Jarvis, sales manager for Bluechip Infotech.

“At the same time, our managed service providers now have the opportunity to improve their overall SaaS offering by providing a subscription bundle that includes software and hardware as well as cybersecurity functions, including encryption as a service. Flexibility is so important in 2020 that companies are managing hybrid workforces in an uncertain economic environment. With the WatchGuard PAYG service we can support companies in their own moment. ”

WatchGuard’s PAYG subscription service is aimed at resellers and customers who want to avoid the manual processes of buying or leasing security solutions upfront and short-term contracts.

It eliminates up-front costs and long-term hardware obligations, and allows partners to suspend, activate, reallocate, and scale various security services as customer needs change.

« As a 100 percent channel-driven company dedicated to partner support and activation, the WatchGuard Subscription Service is designed to further simplify, streamline and strengthen the way our partners do business with WatchGuard, and to meet their customers’ security needs. “Says Mark Sinclair, Regional Director of WatchGuard Technologies A / NZ.

“Today’s world is shifting from selling products to selling subscriptions. In the subscription economy, businesses focus on generating recurring revenue and delivering a rich experience that provides subscribers with continuous value throughout the business relationship. By adding BlueChip Infotech to our recently launched subscription service, we can further transform the way companies in Australia use WatchGuard cybersecurity solutions and services to meet their day-to-day security, compliance and risk mitigation needs.

“At the same time, managed service providers and resellers are increasingly able to quickly sign up for their WatchGuard service, manage their subscription to the latest Firebox hardware appliance, and receive monthly bills. Our ability to support different pricing models is also the key to the success of this PAYG strategy. We look forward to working with BlueChip Infotech to support mutual business success in this new subscription economy. ”

WatchGuard reseller partners can now purchase pay-as-you-go subscriptions for tabletop and rackmount Fireboxes and the multi-factor authentication solution AuthPoint from WatchGuard via the Bluechip Infotech marketplace.
