Kim Kardashian Preps for Met Gala at Karl Lagerfeld’s Office
Kim Kardashian is gearing up for the upcoming Met Gala, and she’s getting inspiration from the late Karl Lagerfeld. The SKIMS mogul shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram, showing her prep work for the event. In one of the photos, she can be seen looking at sketches while at Lagerfeld’s office in Paris. Kardashian captioned the post, « Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris. We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met. »
This year’s Met Gala theme is « Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, » and it’s intended to honor the iconic designer who worked as the director of Chanel for 35 years. Kardashian is no stranger to the Met steps, having made her first appearance at the event as Kanye West’s plus-one back in 2013. Since then, she’s become a regular attendee of the fundraiser.
Kardashian’s Controversial Met Gala Moments
While Kardashian is known for her stunning Met Gala looks, she’s also had her fair share of controversial moments at the event. Last year, she drew criticism after detailing her rigorous diet to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s « Happy Birthday, Mr. President » dress. « I tried it on and it didn’t fit me, » she said on the red carpet. « I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’ I had to lose 16 pounds down today. It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks. »
Despite the criticism, Kardashian continues to make waves at the Met Gala. With Lagerfeld as her inspiration this year, fans are eagerly anticipating what she’ll wear to the event.
