Laois man Tuohy’s goal in the second quarter helped Geelong recover from a slow start and they eventually won 77-47 against North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium.
Tuohy, who was only the second Irish AFL player to hit the 200 mark in the AFL last year after the great Jim Stynes, was not put into action by his Irish teammate Mark O’Connor, with the Kerry- Mann was excluded due to injury.Round 5 victory puts last year’s Grand Finalist Geelong in the top 8 of the AFL rankings as they recovered from last week’s loss to Melbourne Demons. Elsewhere there was disappointment for Meaths Conor Nash in his first AFL appearance of the campaign when Hawthorn was convincingly defeated by Melbourne Demons at the MCG with 104: 54.
