CM – Turkish GP to replace Canada in the 2021 F1 racing calendar – Turkish News

The Turkish Grand Prix will replace Canada in the 2021 Formula 1 racing calendar for the weekend of June 11th to 13th. Formula 1 was confirmed on April 28. « Due to the ongoing international travel restrictions in Canada, it became impossible for Formula 1 to enter the country without a mandatory 14-day quarantine, which led to a change, » said it in a Formula 1 statement.

« Although it is disappointing that we cannot be in Canada this season, we are pleased to confirm that Turkey has a Grand Prix in 2021 after a great race last season « said the President of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, in the statement.

The seventh round of the season will take place in the Intercity Istanbul Park in the Tuzla district on the Asian side of the city.
