Shake Milton, the Guardian of the Philadelphia 76ers, responds to a no-call during a game against the New York Knicks.

In just his third year in the NBA, Shake Milton’s earlier second round hit has become something of a revelation from the bench for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Milton has won 50 games for Philly, averaging 13.2 points and 2 , 9 assists played in 23.9 minutes per competition. Meanwhile, his D rating of 103.7 is the team’s top rating among the rotation regulars.

Recently, however, the 6-foot-5 guard has not had an effect that meets the expectations of the fans. </ In his last three games – two of which have ended in defeat for the Sixers – Milton has only made 25 percent of his field attempts. He averages 8.8 sales per 100 possessions over the period, the worst on the team among players appearing in all three games.

Given his recent bouts, George Hill’s return to hardwood as well as the most recent Comments from Sixers trainer Doc Rivers, one has to wonder if Philly’s super-sub might see a reduction in minutes / rolls as the regular season moves into postseason.

Right now he's more focused on making a healthy list of players.

« It’s always been a competition as long as I’ve been in the NBA, » he said of the post-season rotation. « Right now, I’m just trying to get all of our boys down [healthy] and then later worry about rotations and the like. It’s hard to tell when so many people are out. »

It it is clear that Milton will be an important factor in the competition for playoff minutes. However, after a poor performance during Philly’s loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, Rivers spoke of other players being directly linked to the 24-year-old’s recent difficult situation.

« He just has to play better and it happens. Im Right now I think he was a minus 17 and you have games like this and you have a few games like this. We still trust him 100 percent and I think he will find out, « said Rivers.

» But it’s a long season and if you have problems we have other people to help us out and that’s exactly what happened tonight. «

One of those people is Hill who was the big trading deadline for the Sixers. In In his first two games with the club after a thumb injury, the 13-year-old veteran played an average of more than 20 minutes per competition.

At the moment he is not injuring Milton’s playing time, but as soon as Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Tobias Harris are back in d he row – and Matisse Thybulle comes back on the bench – it could definitely happen.

Philly’s schedule hasn’t been easy lately, having faced the Suns, Brooklyn Nets and LA Clippers last week. One daunting task, however, lies ahead of us in the form of a direct engagement with the Milwaukee Bucks.

With a record of 35-22, the Bucks are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference, just 3.5 games behind the Sixers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his crew pushed the Suns to their limits on Monday and fell in overtime at 128-127. The « Greek freak » ended up with 33 points and eight rebounds in the game.

The Bucks are in the top eight in the league on both sides of the ball and have an O rating of 116.1 and a D rating of 110.0. They also have the third best effective field goal percentage in the league at 56.4.
