Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad charged a man after a suspected serious break-in in Glen Waverley last night.
Investigators were called to an address on Blackburn Road at around 11:15 pm after a man was reported to have visited the premises and a gun had been fired.
The man also allegedly threatened residents of the residence with a wired energy device before leaving.
He is believed to have got into a white car that was involved in a collision was involved with another vehicle on Blackburn Road.
The 30-year-old man from Box Hill North has been charged with serious burglary (firearm), three cases of reckless behavior that endangers life, deliberate injury, reckless injury and people who use firearms are banned.
