At times like this, you can’t always get what you want – and these two rock music legends know all about it.
Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl have teamed up on a post-pandemic anthem – a surprise single, which references many of the symbols and controversies we’ve associated with the era of COVID-19, including lockdown, face masks and TikTok, zoom, quarantined weight gain, and anti-Vaxxer.
“I wanted to share this song I wrote about getting out of lockdown with much-needed optimism. Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar. You’ve had a lot of fun working on this – I hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy! “The 77-year-old Rolling Stones front man wrote on Twitter.

The account for the Foo Fighters retweeted Jagger’s announcement along with a statement allegedly written by Grohl himself.
« It’s hard to put into words what it means to me to record this song with Sir @MickJagger, » wrote 52-year-old Grohl. « It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier … and it’s without a doubt the song of summer !! »
The song celebrates a return to the « garden of the earthly. » Joys “as the world emerges from isolation, and also seems to poke fun at coronavirus conspiracy theorists – particularly the story of Microsoft founder Bill Gates using vaccines as a means of implanting microchip tracking devices on vaccinated individuals.
