Ireland is lit by falling stars tonight as the earth passes through dust left behind by Halley’s comet.
Stargazers can expect around 20 meteors an hour and will be visible until the wee hours of the morning.
People are encouraged to count the number of stars they see and send an email to Astronomy Ireland send.
